Here are the results from a field test regarding our Bear ClawTM screws and how they work with metal studs.
All of the Bear ClawTM screws, both pan head and double head, will pierce both 20ga and 25ga steel studs when driven by a hand-held Philips screwdriver. The Bear Claws also have a strong grip on the stud. 20 ga is the most common stud used in commercial buildings.
