Start with Hangman Products Slat Wall Tracks. Conventional slat wall systems are wood panels with fixed intervals between slats. Slat Wall Tracks are separate aluminum tracks, which make the Slat Wall System easier to install. There is no need to struggle with installations, since you don’t have to worry about cut outs for light switches or fitting panels between base and crown molding. You decide where to install the Slat Wall Tracks. This makes installations faster, simpler and more cost effective.
Hangman Products Slat Wall Tracks are stronger and more attractive than the competition. They are heavy gauge aluminum, have finished ends and come in different colors including: powder coat black, powder coat white and clear anodized.
Because the Tracks are separate pieces, you can attach them to the wall in the places and in the lengths that make sense for you. Only use as few or as many Tracks as you need. You can even mix and match different colors if you want. Installing your Slat Wall Tracks is simple and painless. It takes just four easy steps.

Step 1: Drill pilot holes sized to fit your screw of preference through the inside of the track. The slat wall track has a straight groove through the middle of the track to ensure that your drill bit doesn’t slip.
Step 2: Place the track against the wall where you want it and install your first screw.
Step 3: Lift up the other end of the track and use the patented Hangman Products Bubble Level to ensure that the track is straight. Use a pencil or pen to mark the location for your next screw. We recommend installing the second screw at the opposite end of the track.
Step 4: Install your second screw. Keep in mind, the more screws supporting the track the higher the weight capacity will be. For large amounts of weight, it is recommended that a screw be applied to every stud.

To hang the shelf, use the Hangman Products Slat Wall Shelf Bracket. Our Shelf Bracket is also heavy gauge aluminum and comes in the same exact colors as our Slat Wall Tracks; black, white and clear anodized. Again, installation is simple and painless -- this time in three easy steps:
Step 1: Drill two pilot holes through the bottom of the shelf bracket, about one inch from the ends, on both sides. There is a straight groove across the bottom of the shelf bracket to ensure that your drill bit doesn’t slip.
Step 2: To install shelving to the shelf bracket simply hammer the shelf bracket onto the end of your 3/4 inch shelf with a rubber mallet. Secure the shelf to the bracket with #8 pan head sheet metal screws.
If you want to add additional strength and rigidity to your melamine shelving, consider the Hangman Products Shelf Stiffener or Heavy Duty Shelf Stiffener. To keep items from rolling off your shelves consider the Hangman Products Shelf Stiffener with Safety Edge. Any of these items can be secured to the shelving with a rubber mallet.
Step 3: To install the Slat Wall Shelf Bracket into the Slat Wall, simply angle the hook straight into the center of the track and rotate 180 degrees downward.
